Hi guyz! can anyone help regarding joomla site speed. The joomla cms executes slow and many of my sites are made up using joomla. So, it would be gr8 if anyone could help me regarding the joomla site speed & performance.

Here's a great (and short) article explaining various performance issues related to Joomla!

By following the instruction I managed to speed up my site considerably, so check it out first
before installing another component or plugin, as these are usually the reason your site is slow.

Uninsall any plugins or components you're not using - disabling them isn't enough.
Cache as many items as possible, including modules. One tool I'm suggesting to install is

as it will give you a good overview of what is slowing down your site, even without enabling it.

Oh, and stay away from any so-called statistics components as they are the root of all evil on your site.
Your host already provides all the stats you want, so check your cpanel or whatever you're running on.
